Warehouse Operative

Shift patterns: Monday- Friday (Days)

Location: Swansea – SA7 9DG

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking an experienced Warehouse Operative to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

• Trade team, Swansea

• Undertake the manual handling, distribution and monitoring of materials in a bulk storage and warehouse environment.

• Assist with the unloading of vehicles and the checking-in of stock. Sorting and placing materials or items on to racks, and shelves.

• Pick and pack products which includes unboxing, labelling, re-boxing and stacking products on pallets.

• Working with manual handling equipment around the warehouse including forklifts.

WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU?

• Previous practical experience as a Warehouse Operative, within a logistics environment.

• Experience using a forklift is desirable but not essential.

• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload

• Comfortable working around alcohol day to day.

• Comfortable lifting heaving loads

A recognised qualification in Manual Handling or equivalent will be well-received.
