Join a leading commercial vehicle refurbishment specialist in Foston. As a Paint Prepper, youll play a crucial role in preparing large trailers, chassis and assemblies for paintingensuring every surface meets our stringent quality standards.
All suitable candidates will be trained up to to Spray Paint once deemed able, Rates then form £17.25 per hour
Key Responsibilities

Masking and de-masking vehicle panels, fixtures and fittings

Degreasing, sanding and shot-blasting surfaces to specified profiles
-
Applying primers, sealers and filler materials in line with manufacturer guidelines
-
Inspecting panels for defects and surface consistency prior to hand-over to painters
-
Maintaining spray-booth hygiene, equipment calibration and consumable stock levels
-
Adhering to health & safety procedures, including correct use of PPE
-
Keeping work areas clean, organised and compliant with housekeeping standards
Skills & Experience
-
Previous experience as a Paint Prepper in a commercial vehicle or heavy engineering environment

Strong knowledge of surface-preparation techniques: sanding, degreasing and masking

Ability to interpret technical drawings and prep schedules
-
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
-
Good physical stamina and ability to work at height or in confined spaces
-
Flexible, team-oriented approach with a proactive work ethic
