Senior Quantity Surveyor Nottingham (2days in office 3 days remote) Contract Type: Outside IR35 (freelance) Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our team in Nottingham for a water project. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing the commercial and contractual aspects of the project, ensuring cost control, profitability, and accurate reporting. This role requires a thorough understanding of AMP8, CVR, subcontractor orders, cost forecasting, NEC options A-C and Option E, as well as comprehensive reporting capabilities. The ideal candidate will have proven experience working for a tier 1 contractor. Skills: Strong knowledge of NEC contracts (Options A-C and Option E) Experience with cost value reconciliation (CVR) Expertise in cost forecasting Subcontractor management Accurate and timely reporting Strong commercial and financial acumen Contractual compliance Project cost control Excellent communication and negotiation skills Ability to manage risk and develop mitigation plans Software/Tools: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Project management and cost control software Certifications & Standards: HNC in Quantity Surveying or similar (essential) Undergraduate degree in Quantity Surveying or similar (advantageous) Minimum 5 years of experience in the utilities or civil industry (desirable) This is role is open to either permanent or freelance applicants with a rate of (Apply online only) per day for the right candidate.
