Are you a Laser Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer with a background in mechanical, electrical or optical systems, looking to step away from the tools and move into a technical Helpdesk role with a global OEM?

In this role, you\’ll provide remote technical support and fault-finding on cutting-edge laser machines, including diagnostics across mechanical, electrical and optical systems. You\’ll work closely with field service teams and provide first-line support via phone and email.
This role suits a Laser Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer, ideally with qualifications such as NVQ Level 3, HNC or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or optical engineering.
The Role:
- Transition off the tools into a Helpdesk Engineer position
- Provide remote fault-finding and technical support (product training provided)
- Office-based (hybrid working available), Mon-Fri, 39-hour week with overtime available
The Person:
- Experienced Laser Service or Maintenance Engineer
- Qualified in Mechanical, electrical or Optical Engineering (NVQ Level 3 / HNC or equivalent)
- Familiar with systems such as PLC logic, Ethercat, Profinet, ASI Bus, Profibus, Siemens controls, or IndraWorks systems.
