The Role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Trainee Plant Accountant to join our Finance Team here at Whittlesey. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the role will support the Finance Department through provision of professional, reliable and accurate reporting on business performance and balance sheet management with a focus on effective financial controls.
This is a great opportunity for someone to further develop their finance skills in a broad finance role and to achieve their CIMA qualification.
- Preparation of a weekly profit forecast for the Senior Management Team
- Review and provide commentary on weekly reports analysing quote profitability
- Tracking intercompany purchases of raw materials reconciling to the GL and delivery notes
- Perform month-end close activities such as producing and reviewing reports, posting journal entries, reviewing and reconciling accounts, calculating accruals, provisions and prepayments and upload of data from SAP to HFM
- Preparation of Balance sheet reconciliations and other month end control reports
- Participate in the monthly stock take process
- reperform the count of a sample taken from the stock count sheets
- accurately record stock levels in Navision
