About the Role:
We are currently seeking two experienced Pipefitter Welders to join our team for a short-term contract in the Bristol area. This role involves electric arc welding (SMAW, with potential for GTAW or FCAW) on a range of pipework and associated structures within a school environment.
Ideal candidates will have a strong background in pipefitting and welding, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and perform welds in various positions, including overhead and confined spaces.

Scope of Work:
β€’ Perform high-quality electric arc welding on:
o Steam or water pipes
o Boiler shells and casings
o Structural supports and brackets
o Flanges, joints, and fittings
β€’ Execute tack welds and final welds in line with project specifications
β€’ Conduct overhead, vertical, and confined-space welds when necessary
β€’ Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health & safety guidelines at all times

Requirements:
β€’ NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Pipefitting/Welding (no additional codings required)
β€’ Valid CSCS Blue/Gold card
β€’ Proven experience with SMAW (arc welding); familiarity with GTAW or FCAW a plus
β€’ Own basic tools and standard PPE
β€’ Able to read and work from technical drawings
β€’ Ability to commute to BS30 and BS16 (on-site parking available)
β€’ Must provide an up-to-date CV
Note: Candidates do not need to be Bristol-based but must be able to travel daily to the site. A valid DBS check is beneficial due to the school environment.
