About the Role
As a Senior Care Assistant, you\’ll be at the heart of our daytime care operations. From personal care and medication support to care planning and team supervision, your role will make a real and lasting impact.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

Delivering personalised, compassionate care during daytime hours

Supporting residents with personal hygiene, mobility, and emotional wellbeing

Leading and supporting care staff during your shift

Administering and documenting medication (as authorised)

Assisting with care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding measures

Building strong relationships with residents and families

Liaising with GPs, District Nurses, and Social Workers

Promoting dignity, choice, and independence throughout the day

Encouraging and supporting residents to participate in meaningful activities
What We\’re Looking For:

NVQ Level 2 in Health & Social Care (essential)

NVQ Level 3 or willingness to work towards it (desirable)

Experience in elderly care or a residential care setting

Confidence leading a team and managing a shift

Skilled in writing care plans and conducting risk assessments

Medication trained with sound knowledge of safe administration

A warm, reliable, and proactive approach to care

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Willingness to work a flexible rota including weekends and holidays
