Day Care Assistant – Bank – Southampton

Social Care in Action is proud to support individuals across the Southampton community, helping them stay safe and well.

Our Southampton Living Well (SLW) brilliant day care service offers older people the chance to get out of the house, enjoy some company and have a fulfilling day of activities and fun.

We are currently recruiting for a bank Day Care Assistant (Community Enabler) to provide cover for staff absences and annual leave across our Shirley (SO15) and Woolston (SO19) Day Centres.

Are you a friendly, compassionate and dedicated person? If so, you would be perfect for our Community Enabler role. You will become part of an amazing team of carers that ensures that our amazing customers receive the support they need.

About The Role

A Community Enabler role can be wide and varied, and no two days are the same but heres an idea of what you could be doing.

  • Provide tailored support and personal care based on individual care plans.
  • Promote independence, rehabilitation, and engagement in local activities.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, medication, and mobility support.
  • Help customers access and participate in SLW sessions using suitable transportation.
  • Support and facilitate safe, inclusive group activities and meals.
