The candidate should have a background in digital circuit specification, design and verification for ASIC / Mixed-Signal SoCs or experience in FPGA design and looking to move into ASIC development. We are looking for a person who is interested in working in a start-up style environment where responsibilities can be varied and where there are great opportunities to broaden knowledge and skills. The most qualified candidate will be selected to join our innovative, collaborative and dynamic team in our Design Centre in Edinburgh, Scotland.JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Concept definition of digital SOC architecture & blocksSpecification writingClose working with analog IC designers and sub-contractorsExperience with design synthesis, timing closure & STA is highly desirableDebug of RTL/gate level simulations/failures to root causeCollaboration with firmware, hardware, software, analog IC design engineersPrepare technical reports, proposals and presentationsPrototyping with FPGA desirableExperience with P&R a bonusMATLAB modelling of algorithms a bonusREQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.Min 8 – 10+ years experience of relevant industrial experience in digital design having seen multiple projects from concept to tapeout and mass production.Good knowledge of the full IC front-to-back design flowExperience with automotive electronics a bonusWe acknowledge the confidence gap at Ouster.
