Birth Reflections/Debrief Midwife

We are seeking an experienced midwife to lead the Birth Reflections/Debrief service within maternity services at Calderdale & Huddersfield NHS Trust.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for you to utilize your extensive midwifery knowledge and skills to promote excellence in maternity care. This role involves giving women and their families the opportunity to discuss their birth experiences and gain a greater understanding of events or interventions that may have occurred.

The post holder will work closely with the Senior Team in maternity services and collaborate within the Multidisciplinary Team to develop a maternity service responsive to the needs of women and staff.

You will lead the debrief clinic, providing support to women requiring this service. You will use your clinical knowledge, trauma-informed care skills, active listening, solution-focused questioning, and birth trauma training to facilitate resolution, reflection, and a deeper understanding of all aspects of the maternity journey.
