Ashford College, part of the East Kent Colleges Group are seeking to appoint a Maths Supply Lecturer to their approved staffing list.

What’s more, is that as a group of 6 colleges (Ashford, Broadstairs, Canterbury, Dover, Folkestone, Sheppey) in East Kent as well as apprentice and adult training units, you can be considered for work in our other environments. As a Supply Lecturer you will;

teach, train and assess students in your subject specialism(s)

ensure a high-quality learning experience

provide support to learners to enable them to achieve their maximum potential
The ideal candidate will be highly organised, creative and be able to plan and teach engaging and innovative lessons with demonstrated interpersonal skills. Assessing and tracking student progress, to further plan intervention this will be a vital part of the role and ensuring all students develop the skills they need to succeed.
The successful candidate will be able to teach a range of designated study programs and/or courses from Level 1 up to Level 3 and will be able to motivate learners to achieve and succeed on their programmes of study.
Please note that our Supply Lecturers are paid £18 per hour worked and if planning and admin is required, a further half an hour may be claimed per hour of teaching. £135 per day is therefore for rate for 5 hours teaching with 2.5 hours of planning and admin.
Any addition to the approved staffing list is not a guarantee of employment or hours of work. Once you have been interviewed and all pre-employment checks are complete, you will then be placed within the supply pool of staff available for temporary work. If we have an opportunity that meets your skill set, we will contact you to discuss the opportunity.
