Care Team Leader (Nights)
Location: Astley View Care Home, Chorley, Lancashire
Pay: £15.00 per hour / £30,030 per annum
Contract: Full-time, Permanent
Hours: 38.5 hours per week
Shift Pattern: 8:00pm – 8:00am, two-week rolling rota
- Week 1: Mon, Tue, Sat, Sun
- Week 2: Wed, Thu, Fri
Evermore Care is seeking an experienced Care Team Leader to join our dedicated night team at Astley View, a luxury care home in Chorley. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead and manage the care team, ensuring the highest standards of care and support for residents.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the care team throughout the night, ensuring effective handovers, providing support at all times, and being a positive role model, leading by example.
- Manage night rotas, ensuring adequate staffing levels and appropriate skill mix.
- Maintain clear and effective communication with the home management team, addressing concerns promptly.
- Conduct and lead nightly team meetings, providing feedback and support to staff.
- Oversee medication management, including the receipt and administration of medications.
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care.
- Significant experience in a similar setting, with a solid understanding of dementia and elderly care.
- Proven leadership skills with experience in supervising and appraising staff.
- Knowledge of medication management and adherence to safety protocols.
