Responsible to: Warehouse Supervisor

Main Purpose

The Warehouse operative plays a key role in the daily operations of a warehouse/distribution centre. This role helps maintain the integrity of inventory, contributes to timely order fulfilment, and supports overall warehouse logistics, from receipt of goods to their storage and shipment.

Responsibilities

  • Sorting and storing after receiving goods, scanning and storing items in pick bays, racks, or designated areas
  • Picking products from inventory according to customer orders or requisitions; packing items for shipment with proper labelling and protection; ensuring sufficient raw materials for packing
  • Inventory control: assisting in maintaining accurate inventory records through periodic cycle counts and updating inventory management systems; notifying supervisors of discrepancies
