Cloud HPC Engineer – Python, Ansible, Linux, MySQL – to £50,000 – £80,000 DOE + stock + benefits
An exciting new opportunity to join a growing organisation and provide cloud HPC design, deployment, configuration and operational expertise to a range of international organisations and projects. This employer have established a strong reputation as trusted advisors to a variety of commercial and scientific organisations, with expertise specifically focused around cloud and HPC solutions. They assist organisations in the deployment, configuration, troubleshooting and/or operation of cloud solutions, with a particular focus on the convergence of cloud and HPC. They have grown steadily over the last four years to meet the demands of their growing client base and are now seeking a Cloud Engineer to join their Bristol-based team, either working from Bristol, or remotely or in a hybrid-basis.
You will already have a solid background in Linux administration, networking and Python scripting/coding, and will ideally have worked with Docker, Prometheus and/or Grafana (or similar) and will have experience of any cloud platform along with a desire to develop your skills further in cloud technologies. You\’ll be confident in providing 3rd line level support and troubleshooting services to a range of clients as well as leading the design, deployment and configuration of new solutions too. Any additional experience of OpenStack or HPC solutions would be advantageous, for example applicants from a University or scientific research background will be of particular interest.
