Cleaner – Tividale Community Primary

Sandwell Metropolitan Borough Council is recruiting a reliable and enthusiastic cleaner for Tividale Community Primary School. The post starts as soon as possible.

Contract: Monday to Friday, 3.30pm to 6pm (12.5 hours per week); part‑year‑round with flexibility for deep‑clean periods and some school holiday work.

Location: Tividale Community Primary, Dudley Road West, Tivdale, B69 2HT.

Grade and Salary: Grade A SCP 2 FTE; annual salary £24,413, pro‑raised to £7,200 for 12.5 hours per week. This is a permanent full‑time (FTE) role.

Responsibilities:

  • Vacuuming, polishing, clearing litter, deep cleaning of premises.
  • Operating powered equipment, such as vacuums, shampoo and buffing machines.
  • Ensuring cleanliness and presentation standards are maintained throughout the school.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience and understanding of safe use of cleaning chemicals and electrical equipment.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English – part of Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016.
  • Capacity for background checks – an Enhanced Disclosure and Barred List Check will be undertaken in accordance with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promotion of children’s welfare as per school policy.
