We are seeking a dedicated Site Manager to join our team at HMP Wayland, a CATEGORY C Adult/Male prison.
Join a team that is more than just a group of colleagues – we work Monday to Sunday as a supportive and driven family, working together to create a safe and nurturing environment.
HMP Wayland operates like a self-contained town, requiring hundreds of staff to keep it functioning. As part of the Facilities Maintenance Team, your role is crucial in ensuring smooth and safe operations, impacting prisoners, staff, visitors, and the wider community.
As a Site Manager, you will work alongside experienced colleagues including Plumbers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Cleaners, and Administrators, all dedicated to providing a safe and secure environment.

We are a Ministry of Justice business providing critical services to HMPPS. The ideal candidate will have:
- Experience in facilities management
- Experience managing budgets
- Experience managing staff
- Desirable: Experience in a prison or military environment
- Completed a recognised apprenticeship in a facilities/building services trade or have two years of recognised experience
- Desirable: IOSH Qualification
- Good Health & Safety knowledge
- Excellent organisational, time management, and people skills
