Role Overview:
We are looking for a dynamic and experienced FM Contracts Manager / Project Manager to oversee mechanical (HVAC) installation projects from conception to completion. You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth coordination between our clients, design team, supply chain, and installation teams, ensuring each project is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee HVAC and ventilation contracts from initial consultation through to project handover.
Coordinate with the in-house design team to develop technical specifications and ensure client requirements are met.
Collaborate with key suppliers and manufacturers (e.g., Mitsubishi, Toshiba, Daikin) to source cost-effective solutions.
Lead project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation activities.
Monitor progress on-site, ensuring quality, compliance, and safety standards are maintained.
Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal teams throughout all project phases.
Prepare and manage budgets, cost reports, and financial forecasts.
Identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues promptly.
Provide regular updates and performance reports to senior management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Project Manager or Contracts Manager in the HVAC, M&E, or building services sector.
Strong technical knowledge of air conditioning and ventilation systems.
Previous experience working in occupied buildings, fit-outs, refurbishments, or plant replacements.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Strong financial and commercial acumen.
Valid UK driving licence (site travel required).
Desirable Qualifications:
HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services, or a related field.
SMSTS or equivalent project/site management certification.
Experience working in healthcare or high-security environments (NHS, MOD, etc.).
