/ Position: TechnicalInstructor (Fixed Wing) – Part 66/145/147
/ Location: Bournemouth- Hybrid working available
Due to expansion of our Part 147 Training function, we are looking to add an experienced Technical Instructor (fixed wing) who will be responsible for delivering, maintaining and creating training material within the Part-66/145/147 regulatory framework. We are looking for individual who is passionate about all things training and how we can develop our training material. This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced instructor within Aviation or a Part 66 Licensed Engineer and fancies an alternative career in joining the ever-changing world of Aviation.
You will have a great deal of responsibility with endless opportunity for impact and freedom for initiatives. This role will deliver training across multiple subjects and areas within Aviation, and you will have the opportunity to support the development of the training portfolio. / Responsibilities:
- Delivery of aircraft type course and compliant training online and in person at locations worldwide.
- Assess training needs and assist in development of suitable training courses to meet business need.
- Be prepared to develop key skills to deliver aircraft training courses.
- Ensure courses delivered are compliant.
- Creation/authoring training material and supporting documentation.
- Examiner for aircraft types held by Part-147.
- Perform examination analysis and exam question database review.
- Support the training department during internal/external audits.
- Actively involved with continuous improvement of training delivery and process.
- To maintain up-to-date knowledge of legislation relevant to technical training.
- To maintain own personal development in relation to technical training within the aerospace industry sector.
/ Skills, Qualifications and Experience required:
- Hold an aeronautical/electrical or mechanical degree or be a certified Part 66 Licensed Engineer or hold a qualification in adult learning or have experience providing training within Aviation.
- Possess previous experience within a Part-147, Part-145 or Part-21 environment or experienced Part-66 Licensed Engineer with a passion for passing on their experience and knowledge or possess transferable instructing or teaching experience at A-level/HNC or above.
- Ability to carry out a type rated course on relevant aircraft types included within the CAA/EASA part 147 approval and other regulatory bodies.
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of CAA/EASA Parts 66/145/147
- Excellent communication; verbal and written communication skills
- Adaptable with excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to cope with pressure and change
- Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
- Prepared to travel to other company locations as required
- Able to hold a CAA/EASA form 4 position within the Part 147.
Advantageous
- QLTS/QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
- Beechcraft King Air 300 series and / or Embraer 135 / 145 experience
- Experience in delivering aircraft maintenance training
- Possess up to date knowledge of Part 147 regulations
- Ability to demonstrate an understanding of CAA/EASA Parts 66/145/147
- Experience as an aeronautical type training instructor in a Part-147 environment
- Proficient with associated aircraft maintenance documentation
