For its Epigenetics division, Hologic is looking for a highly motivated Key Account Manager (M/F) to complete the Commercial Operations team, with experience in the epigenetics/ life science market, to grow our business in the UK, Ireland and Nordics (The territory is subject to change).
Role
We are looking for a dynamic, enthusiastic and tenacious sales-focused person to drive our business forward, manage, develop, expand customer base and increase sales in this territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver sales targets for Instruments, Reagents, and Services across the region.
- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to meet and exceed revenue goals.
Customer Engagement & Territory Management
- Schedule and attend customer visits to drive regional sales growth.
- Manage the territory sales pipeline and quotations through effective funnel management.
- Identify and develop new high-potential opportunities.
Strategic Relationship Building
- Establish and nurture high-level relationships with leaders in academic research and drug development.
- Promote Diagenode’s value proposition tailored to client needs.
Lead Generation & Business Development
- Identify leads through trade shows, marketing campaigns, referrals, and publications.
- Attend industry events and manage exhibition booths to enhance brand visibility.
Account Management
- Identify, develop, and manage key accounts to ensure long-term growth and customer satisfaction.
- Work closely with the sales and marketing team to support targeted campaigns, literature, and product references.
- Track and report weekly sales progress and key opportunities to the EMEA Sales Manager.
- Maintain a comprehensive and up-to-date CRM database (SalesForce).
Technical Expertise
- Continuously enhance product and technical knowledge by collaborating with R&D and technical support teams.
Required qualifications
- PhD or Master’s degree in Life Sciences, Molecular Genetics is a plus
- Research experience in genetics or epigenetics is a plus
- While prior customer-facing experience can be helpful, we welcome candidates with varied paths and transferable skills.
- Organized, rigorous and independent with an entrepreneurial spirit and acute business sense
- Strong sense of responsibility and team spirit
- Proficient with standard computer-based tools
- Native level of English
Travel Required:
Travel: approximately 40% in the field for customer visits, conferences and meetings.
Location
This role can be located in UK or Ireland and needs to be close to major airport(s).
