School Site Manager required to work for an academy trust in Birmingham, this would involve moving between two different sites. This will be a temp to perm role for the right candidate. As a Site Manager you will be required to: Able to complete weekly and monthly statutory checks (planned preventative maintenance) on both sites Supervising and managing cleaning staff, and other site support staff, allocating workloads, assisting in training Ensuring all relevant paperwork and checks are kept up to date and accurate Ensuring the security of the school\’s premises and grounds, locking at the appropriate times, closing of windows and setting of alarms. Unlocking and locking up the school site as well as individual departments Keeping the school grounds maintained and tidied General maintenance/ DIY – fixing and put furniture together, painting, using hand held tools if required, basic plumbing Assisting with any school deliveries Overlooking the schools health and safety. Check and operate the fire alarm system and undertake duties in the event of a fire evacuation. Prepare and maintain of fire risk assessments for school site. Checking fire extinguishers and other health and safety aspects of the schools Liaising with contractors and escorting them around site Setting up classrooms and halls for assemblies and parents\’ evenings Assisting with lettings, bookings, set up of equipment and grounds supervision of evening/weekend meetings and after school activities Gardening and outdoor site maintenance – lawn mowing, using a strimmer, weeding, litter picking General cleaning To report any health and safety issues to the academy site manager Requirements: Must be able to work Monday to Friday, on an ongoing basis Has experience as a school manager – ideally 2 years – COSHH awareness and Health and Safety knowledge Holds an ENHANCED Child DBS in date within the last 12 months, or an ENHANCED DBS on the update service.
