Job Title: Logistics Coordinator Location: Redditch Salary: £32,000 – £36,000 per annum (depending on experience) Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 17:00 (30-minute unpaid break) Work Setting: Office-based (Hybrid working not available) Job Description We are currently recruiting for a proactive and detail-driven Logistics Coordinator to join a fast-paced, time-critical logistics team based in Redditch. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a background in freight forwarding, transport coordination, or supply chain logistics to take full ownership of the booking, tracking, and completion of UK, EU, and international shipments. You will be at the heart of operations, ensuring urgent deliveries reach their destinations quickly and efficiently — while maintaining excellent communication with customers and suppliers throughout the process. Key Duties & Responsibilities * Managing inbound customer orders and enquiries by phone and email * Booking, planning and tracking urgent transport jobs (road, airfreight, and hand-carry) * Providing accurate and competitive transport quotations for UK and EU shipments * Handling high-pressure delivery scenarios including production line stoppages * Liaising with third-party logistics providers, hauliers, and couriers * Maintaining clear and up-to-date job files with all required documentation (PODs, POs, SPTRs) * Ensuring all job data is entered accurately into internal systems * Working closely with warehouse, operations, and finance teams to ensure delivery targets are met * Reviewing routes and transport costs to maximise profitability and efficiency * Escalating time-critical issues quickly and appropriately * Supporting KPI monitoring and continuous process improvement Requirements * Previous experience in logistics coordination, freight forwarding, or transport planning * Strong understanding of time-sensitive supply chain processes * Excellent communication and organisational skills * Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure * Strong IT skills and experience using logistics or transport systems (TMS) * A positive, solutions-focused attitude and willingness to go the extra mile * Team player with the ability to manage individual priorities What’s On Offer * Competitive salary: £32,000 – £36,000 (based on experience) * 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays * Opportunity to buy up to 5 extra days of annual leave * Free on-site parking * Overtime and weekend work available on a rota basis * Chance to work in a growing, supportive logistics team * Career development within a fast-moving environment Keywords: Logistics Coordinator, Freight Forwarder, Transport Planner, Road Freight, Air Freight, Time-Critical Logistics, Courier Management, Shipping Jobs, Supply Chain, 3PL, Import Export, Line Stoppage, TMS, UK Transport, EU Transport, Redditch Logistics Jobs Apply today to become a key player in a team where your logistics skills truly make a difference
