Job Title: Conveyancing Manager

Department: Residential Property / Conveyancing

Reports to: Head of Property / Managing Partner

Salary: Competitive Salary (DOE)

Contract Type: Full-Time, Permanent

Job Purpose

The Conveyancing Manager will, manage a team of Case handlers and support staff. The role requires strong leadership, in-depth knowledge of the conveyancing process, and a drive to deliver excellent results for clients and the firm. The successful candidate will be approachable, organised, commercially aware, and capable of building and maintaining key relationships with referrers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support and manage the day-to-day operations of the conveyancing team.
  • Be an approachable leader who promotes collaboration, engagement, and continuous improvement.
  • Provide guidance on complex matters.
  • Ensure team members adhere to firm procedures and regulatory standards.
  • Caseload & Process Oversight
  • Be fully familiar with all stages of the conveyancing process and able to advise on both routine and complex matters.
  • Ensure files are progressed efficiently, deadlines are met, and risk is managed appropriately.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with clients, estate agents, mortgage brokers, and other third-party referrers.
  • Act as a key point of contact for referrers, ensuring a consistent, professional service that encourages repeat business.
  • Identify new business opportunities and support business development initiatives.
  • Operational Excellence
  • Prioritise workloads effectively and ensure diary management is efficient for both personal and team responsibilities.
  • Monitor key performance indicators and implement improvements to drive results.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on team performance, risk management, and strategy.
