Sessional Lecturer – Aquaculture, Fisheries and Marine Studies (Higher Education)

  • Salary: Up to £37,512 per annum (full-time equivalent) (depending on qualifications and experience)

University Centre Sparsholt is seeking a sessional lecturer in Aquaculture, Fisheries, and Marine Studies for approximately one day per week.

The successful candidate will join the friendly and ambitious Higher Education team, teaching across degree courses in Aquaculture, Fisheries, and Marine Studies. The role involves delivering both taught and practical sessions, alongside supporting and tutoring students.

We are particularly interested in applicants with knowledge or experience in salmonids, aquaculture, marine environments, and ecology. Candidates with broader experience in related areas are also encouraged to apply.

The ideal candidate will have at least a Master\’s degree in a relevant subject or equivalent industry experience.

It is preferred that the post holder holds a recognised teaching qualification or is willing to attain one through Sparsholt\’s study programs. All staff are expected to participate in CPD and scholarly activities, with opportunities for personal development.

Our teaching and research are conducted at our Aquatics Research and Conservation Centre and Salmonid Rearing and Trials Centre, which feature industry-leading facilities.

This position is based at the Sparsholt Campus.
