As our company grows, we are expanding our teams and have a great opportunity for a dedicated Site Support Technician to join our Infrastructure Division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
We are looking for a reliable, flexible, and committed field technician to join our Geotechnical Team. You should be able to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team. Your daily tasks will vary based on the projects and locations, ensuring no two days are the same.
The tasks include (but are not limited to):
- Site and post-fieldwork monitoring of borehole installations
- Assist with surveying exploratory hole locations
- Assist with service identification and permit to dig process on site
- Assist with site chores such as sampling, core preparation, and photography for medium to large sites
To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate:
- The ability to work independently or in a team to complete activities
- A good level of fitness for site duties
- Good attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills

Our highly trained Geotechnical team focuses on understanding site conditions for UK construction projects. We conduct rigorous testing and sampling above and below ground to identify conditions impacting construction. Our services are vital for projects like tower blocks, bridges, roads, rail tunnels, and home extensions.
