BSL (British Sign Language) Teaching Assistant £110 £130 per day

Location: Greenwich

Start Date: January 2026 Full-time, Term-Time Only

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in British Sign Language (BSL)?

A welcoming and inclusive school in Greenwich is seeking a skilled BSL Teaching Assistant to support students with hearing impairments. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference in students\’ lives by helping them access the curriculum and thrive in a mainstream school environment.

Role Overview:

• Provide in-class support to students who are deaf or have hearing loss
• Use BSL to facilitate communication between students and teachers
• Work 1:1 or in small groups to deliver targeted learning interventions
• Support students social and emotional development
• Collaborate with SENCOs, teachers, and external professionals

Candidate Requirements:

• Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in BSL (British Sign Language)
• Experience supporting children or young people with hearing impairments
• Excellent communication, patience, and interpersonal skills
• A positive, flexible approach and genuine passion for inclusive education
• Experience in a school or educational setting is desirable but not essential
