Overview

Beacon Light Behavioral Health System is looking for a Residential Behavior Specialist who is responsible to plan, develop, and monitor a variety of behavioral support service delivery options to meet the needs of the individuals in the program and/or other behavioral and social/communication challenges. Oversight and supervision of all behavioral plan implementation in coordination with supervision of program therapists. Responsible for collecting and analyzing data for analysis and training employees on specialized behavioral intervention methods.

STRIDE program

The STRIDE (Specialized Therapeutic Residence For Intellectual and Developmental Empowerment) program is a Joint Commission accredited residential program for children who have intensive needs requiring a longer length of stay in treatment.

Education and/or Experience

  • Must have a Master’s Degree in a Human Service related field.
  • Licensure from the State of Pennsylvania in one of the following areas is required within two years of onboarding: Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Social Worker (LSW), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Behavior Specialist (LBS), or a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
  • Two years’ experience in behavior modification, including certification in ABA or FBA.
  • Prior experience working with individuals with Intellectual Disabilities and Mental Health issues required.

Travel Requirements

This position gives preference to individuals with an active driver’s license and a DMV check that is clear. Position may require travel in the local community or to assist with individuals attending required appointments or visits 25-50% of the time.
