Job Title: High Level Teaching Assistant – Intervention Location: Oldham, Lancashire Job Type: Full-time, 5 days a week (8:30 am – 3:30 pm) Salary: £105 per day (PAYE) Are you a dedicated and qualified High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) looking for an opportunity to make a significant difference in the lives of children with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)? If you are passionate about providing essential support and interventions to help pupils achieve their full potential, we have the perfect role for you. Our vibrant and inclusive two-form entry school in Oldham, Lancashire, is seeking a High Level Teaching Assistant – Intervention to join our committed team. We are proud of our diverse student population, with a high intake of pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL) and SEND. Key Responsibilities: – Lead our SEND base and run targeted intervention sessions in the afternoons to support students with particular learning needs. – Facilitate morning therapeutic and focus sessions across all year groups, including Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), to promote engagement and concentration. – Work with non-verbal learners and those who may have additional challenges, using appropriate communication techniques and educational strategies. – Collaborate with teaching staff, the SENCO, and other professionals to assess, plan, and track the progress of individual students. – Create a safe, positive, and stimulating learning environment that caters to a range of learning styles and needs. – Demonstrate resilience, empathy, patience, and reliability in all interactions with students and staff. – Maintain excellent spoken and written English to effectively communicate with colleagues, students, and parents. Essential Requirements: – Hold an HLTA qualification or higher. – A current DBS on the update service. – Experience working with non-verbal students and learners with a range of SEND requirements. – Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to nurture a trusting and supportive atmosphere. – Proven capacity to work independently as well as part of a multidisciplinary team. – Outstanding organizational and time-management skills.
