We are looking for an individual who has specialist knowledge of property and property processes and who has a professional, positive, enthusiastic and flexible approach to work to join our Acquisitions & Disposal Team.

WHAT IS INVOLVED?
You will be a senior member of a team responsible for the delivery of the Council’s Strategic Property Management service. This role will ensure pro-active management of the Council’s estate ensuring the efficient management, use and occupation of the estate and working with the wider team identifying opportunities for rationalisation and/or disposal.

WHAT WILL I NEED?
You will need:-

  • To be educated to Degree level or equivalent in arelevant subject
  • A relevant professional qualification and Full Membership of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (MRICS)
  • Evidence of continued professional development

You will have experience of managing a range of property related functions and staff, including valuation, estate management, acquisitions, disposals, leasing/letting, covenants, compensation and stakeholder management.

HYBRID WORKING
Durham County Council currently operates a hybrid working policy where a model of 2 days in the workplace and 3 days at home/remote will apply. This model is pro-rated for part time roles and arrangements are at managers discretion, alternatively you can work all of your contracted hours within the workplace if you prefer.
