The Team & Focus of the Role
We are on the lookout for a skilled and experienced professional Driver who can principally drive our Managing Partner, in comfort and safety, to meet his diverse diary commitments!
Driving one of our fleet vehicles (or a hire car) you will be responsible for collecting the Managing Partner and driving him to a variety of locations in the UK.
If you’re an individual who has benefitted from an advanced or defensive background, or who has had previous work experience using such skills and you are looking for a diverse role which comes with flexibility, then we’d love to hear from you.
Due to the nature of the position, there will be some overnight stays or extended periods of waiting time. Food, drink & accommodation will be expensed, levels will vary dependent on the nature of the visit.
An eye test will be required before commencing employment, to ensure compliance with the Highway Code.
Duties will include:
• Scheduling and planning appropriate routes
• Pre-journey traffic and adverse weather monitoring to ensure punctual arrival at all appointments
• Ensuring the vehicle has adequate fuel, oil and other required consumables for each journey
• Abiding by the rules of the Highway code at all times to ensure passenger’s comfort and safety
• Visually checking the car before each journey to ensure it is safe and legally roadworthy
• Organising, collecting and vehicle drop-off for all services at the appropriate intervals together with any repairs at the designated dealership
• Keeping the car clean and tidy
• Adhering to DVLA Rules for Drivers and Motorcyclists and notify Fisher German if they become aware of anything which prevents them from driving
The successful candidate will have…
• Full clean driving licence. An advanced driving or defensive driving qualification would be preferable
• Access to/ownership of a legally compliant vehicle to drive to locations to collect the Managing Partner and the fleet vehicle.
• Smart and professional appearance
• Good knowledge of the UK road network
• High degree of flexibility and absolute discretion
• Ability to stay away overnight
