Job Summary

The Medication Assistant (MA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, administering medications as delegated, documenting care, and supporting residents\’ psychosocial needs.

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED preferred. Must be at least 18 years old. Prior clinical experience preferred. Must complete yearly competency testing and continuing education credits. Certification requirements vary by state: CNA certification in Iowa and North Dakota, nursing assistant certification and medication aide training in Minnesota, and CMA certification in South Dakota.
