We are currently recruiting for a site Health and Safety Advisor to join an extremely busy and expanding HVAC Manufacturer to act as main safety lead on their construction and installation sites cross the UK.
This position has been created due to the company growth and increased work flow.
Candidates must have strong people skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of staff and ensure all site procedures are adhered to in relation to health and safety when on site
The role will require national travel with a large proportion of work being carried out in London so a willingness to travel with overnight stays is required.
The successful candidate will have a demonstrable background working within a similar role with with a solid understanding of health and safety on construction sites and and appreciation for risk and hazards within this type of working environment.
Candidates will be NEBOSH qualified (General or construction) with CSCS (AQP/PQP). SMSTS/SSSTS is desirable.
Fully expensed company vehicle is also provided
Hours – Monday – Thursday 0830: – 1700/ Friday 0830- 16.30
Role Description
Carry out regular site safety inspections at client locations nationwide
Review and advise on Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for live and upcoming projects
Attend and lead investigations into incidents, near misses, and safety breaches, reporting findings and corrective actions
Act as the point of contact for all site-based health, safety, and quality matters
Engage with site teams and clients to promote a strong, positive safety culture
Deliver on-site coaching, safety briefings, and toolbox talks where needed
Identify and report on quality-based non-conformances (NCRs), and support site teams in closing them out
Maintain accurate records of inspections, NCRs, findings, and actions
Report directly into the QESH Manager and keep them informed of site status, risks, and trends
Skills & Attributes
- Demonstrable experience within asimilar Health and Safety role within a construction environment.
NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate
Valid CSCS Card (AQP or PQP level)
SMSTS/SSSTS Desirable
Full UK driving licence
Experience working in construction or industrial installation environments
Comfortable with frequent travel and overnight stays across the UK
Strong knowledge of RAMS, safe systems of work, and accident investigation
Practical experience supporting ISO 9001 quality systems on site
Ability to identify, raise, and follow through on quality-based NCRs
Able to work independently and confidently represent the company on client sites
- Excellent communication skills.
