The new UNT ELEVAR program is seeking a Graduate Research Assistant to support the students and the program. Main tasks include supporting development and implementation of program activities, assisting students with intellectual and developmental disabilities, teaching courses, conducting research, data collection, employment support, advising, and organizing events (virtual or in person). This position is a graduate research assistantship with a monthly salary and tuition benefits. The start date is August 1, 2025.
Required skills include:
- Excellent organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a business office or remotely
- Strong knowledge of computers, Internet, and applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience working with individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities
- Background in special education, vocational rehabilitation, applied behavioral analysis, curriculum and instruction, or related fields
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred skills include:
- Doctoral student experience
- Experience in inclusive postsecondary education programs
- Experience in data collection, literature reviews, data analysis, or research dissemination
- Experience with Microsoft Teams
