Job Role
An opportunity has arisen with our client based near Sandy who are looking for a metal polisher to join their skilled and knowledgeable team working on a dayshift. This is essentially a hands-on role, working within a small team and is an excellent opportunity to work and learn with a well-respected market leading engineering company.
Job Responsibilities
- Manual polishing of components.
- Ensuring quality has been reached within all areas of production
- Fettling, Grinding, Deburring
- Polishing out weld seams
- Liaise with quality / production to raise any material issues
- Clean and maintain work area and equipment
Person Specification
- Experience of working in a similar manufacturing environment
- Confident in working with pliable material
- Knowledge of Sanders, Air Saws, Electrical Hand Grinders and hand tools
- Attention to detail
- Good team player; able to communicate well with others
- Understanding of different metal types.
Hours of Work and Pay
- 39 Hours per week
- Up to 13/hour DOE
- Overtime at time and a half
- Own transport
