A typical week could be as follows:

  • You’ll start the day by being responsible for maintaining your van stock and ensure you have the right tools and equipment to work safely, always putting the customer first.
  • You’ll carry out Joinery work—ranging from skirting/architrave, kitchen removal/fitting, repairing or replacing all timber elements, to resealing windows and doors, and ensuring fixtures are secure and weather-tight.
  • You’ll tackle mould-related issues by washing affected areas and applying anti-mould paint to walls and ceilings.
  • You’ll top up loft insulation, and complete basic tasks across multiple trades including basic plumbing and plastering.
  • You’ll learn about the technical causes of damp and mould and how to treat them effectively.
  • Communication is key—you’ll regularly update planners, team leaders, and colleagues using our housing management system, ensuring accurate records and keeping customers informed.
  • You’ll be part of our Out of Hours call-out rota for emergency repairs

What Skills and Experience will you need?

  • Strong experience in Joinery is essential

We’re a local housing association rooted in the Grimsby and Boston communities. Many of our colleagues live in the same areas we serve, giving us a shared purpose to improve lives.

At LHP, we invest in our people. You’ll have access to:

  • Career progression routes to Team Leader or Manager roles

  • Westfield Health package worth £1,200 annually
  • Up to 12% employer pension contribution
  • 24 days holiday + bank holidays, with extra days for full attendance
  • Mental Health First Aiders across the business

  • Emergency call-out pay

To apply, select apply and you'll be re-directed to our website, attach your up-to-date CV, a brief list of trades you’re experienced in, or a link to your website or social media page showcasing your work and recommendations.

As part of the interview process, you’ll be invited to a first-stage informal chat. This is a chance for us to get to know you better—your motivations, values, and how you work within a team. It’s also a great opportunity for you to learn more about us and the role.
