Description
Team Fishel, the Best Choice for Utility Construction and Network Installation, is hiring a Survey Instrument Operator for our Surveying & Engineering division in Stafford, VA. Survey Instrument Operators at Team Fishel assist the Survey Crew Leader on projects by performing all related work to conducting surveys.
Responsibilities
Using GPS equipment to set control,property corner searches, topographic surveys and staking of easements and rights-of-way
Occasional use of Total Station for the above
Maintain equipment and supplies
Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements & Qualifications
Valid driver\’s license required
Able to operate and train others in the use of survey equipment including conventional and electronic instruments and computers (hardware and software)
Possess good interpersonal skills and effective written and oral communication skills
Although not likely, overnight travel may be required
Willingness to learn all aspects of surveying
Experience utilizing GPS equipment is preferred
Bilingual English/Spanish experience is a plus
Starting pay rate for this position is $20 – $26 / hour dependent upon experience.
