As a key member of our Venue Operations team, the Deputy Venue Manager – Entertainments plays a pivotal role in supporting and collaborating across the Union to deliver a diverse range of inclusive entertainment experiences. From vibrant club nights to engaging early evening activities, you’ll help ensure our events are both memorable and welcoming, championing accessibility, safety, and enjoyment throughout.

The Venue department provides a diverse and inclusive range of events and entertainments as well as providing space and resources for groups and individuals to host their own events and activities. The department includes bars, catering and entertainments, technical and security services and strives to ensure everybody has the same excellent and safe experience.

The position is offered on LSU Scale 6, currently £25,346– £27,659 per annum. Offers will be made at a pay point appropriate to the skill and experience of the successful candidate. Appointments made prior to April 1st will be eligible to be awarded an increment in accordance with the annual increment process.

The appointment will be subject to the LSU’s Terms and Conditions of Employment.

Hours

This role is appointed at 35 hours per week, 52 weeks per year. Hours are assigned by a changing weekly rota dependant on business requirements. Night, evening and weekend working will be a regular part of this rota.
