Join Places Leisure as a Lifeguard and help keep our pool facilities safe, clean, and welcoming for everyone.

About Your Role

  • Supervise customers and fellow lifeguards when using our swimming and pool facilities.
  • Act safely while holding responsibility for the health and safety of all pool users and overseeing building operations.
  • Maintain excellent attention to detail, ensuring the safety of customers while they enjoy the facilities.
  • Deliver first‑class customer service; deal with customers in a friendly and professional manner, going above and beyond to meet high standards.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy environment, applying eye‑for‑cleanliness wherever required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • A National Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ) is essential.
  • If you do not yet have the NPLQ, a strong swimming ability, safety consciousness and eagerness to learn are valued; we will support you to achieve the qualification.

Training & Development

We offer ongoing training and competency assessments, plus opportunities for first‑aid at work training and swimming teacher qualifications. Apprenticeship routes to Operational Management, Sales, Fitness or Customer Service are available.
