About this role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Lecturer in Electronics Engineering to join our team. As a Lecturer you will deliver engaging, hands‑on, and inclusive learning experiences that prepare students for careers in electronics, automation, and digital technologies.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach Electronics Theory, covering circuit design, analogue/digital systems, and embedded technologies.
- Deliver Mathematical Applications sessions supporting learners in applying core maths to solve engineering problems.
- Introduce PLC programming and industrial automation concepts.
- Teach Mechatronics, integrating mechanical, electrical, and computer systems in practical contexts.
- Cover Digital Principles, including logic systems, microcontrollers, and digital communication.
- Provide instruction in Mechanical Principles to support multidisciplinary learning.
- Work closely with the curriculum team to ensure high‑quality instruction and pastoral support.
- Contribute to the development of the new T Level in Engineering, shaping curriculum that reflects current industry standards.

- Eligible for funding incentives, including retention payments up to £6,000 per year and teaching bursaries up to £31,000 for approved FE initial teacher education qualifications.
