An excellent opportunity for a Hydraulic Pipe Fitter to join a well-established company based in Birtley, Gateshead.\\nJob Type: Full-Time, Permanent.\\nReporting To: Projects and Operations Coordinator\\nLocation: Gateshead.\\nSalary: £15 per hour depending on experience\\nAbout the Role:\\nThe Piping Technicians are responsible for manufacturing swaged, flared and welded tubes and pipes as per drawing or on site. They will also manufacture hydraulic hoses and complete flushing and pressure testing activities. It is expected that the Piping Technicians must have a good understanding of the principles of hydraulic connections technologies and fittings.

Hand and power tools, as well as specialised testing and measuring equipment will be used as part of the role.\\nThis position will provide a varied and challenging role, with the opportunity for a motivated individual to develop their skills and industry knowledge, while we support you in your personal career progression.\\nMain Duties:\\n * Mechanical and hydraulic assembly of systems against drawings\\n * Bending of rigid tube and pipes using manual and electrical bender\\n * Manufacture of hose assemblies\\n * Flushing of hose assemblies, pipework, and complete systems\\n * Pressure testing of hose assemblies and pipework\\n * To ensure that all work carried out complies with instructions given\\n * To be aware of activity (task) target hours and make every effort to ensure that these targets are achieved or bettered\\n * To preserve and maintain all company tools and equipment in your care\\n * Always comply to internal and customer site regulations and HSEQ guidelines\\n * Supporting in all areas of work where appropriate\\n * Embrace and support our company values\\n * To have a proactive and positive attitude to your work and encourage team members to achieve company objectives.\\nCandidate Requirements:\\nKnowledge of different type of hydraulic fittings\\nKnowledge of clamping technologies and standards\\nAble to read mechanical drawings\\nAble to read and draft isometric drawings\\nBasic knowledge of hydraulic schematic and symbols\\nAbility to work to strict safety standards\\nGood knowledge of general engineering practices such as measuring/ marking off/ manual drilling and tapping\\nKnowledge and experience of cleanliness requirements in hydraulics and Pressure Testing\\nAbility to work as part of a team\\nExcellent communication and interpersonal skills\\nA minimum of 3 years’ experience in similar role\\nMinimum Qualification 4 Year Engineering Apprenticeship\\nClear communicator both written and verbal\\nEligible to work permanently in the UK\\nFull driving licence\\nKPI’s:\\nThe completion of tasks on time\\nNo quality issues or customer complaints arising from completed work\\nCompliance to the company’s core processes\\nCorrect completion of paperwork\\nIf you feel that you have the relative skills/attributes to fulfil this role then please apply now!\\nThe employer fully supports Equality in Employment.
