A great opportunity has become available for a Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team within a successful and growing international organisation. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys ownership, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and wants to contribute to continuous improvement across finance processes.
About the Role
You will support the delivery of accurate accounting processes, strong month end routines, and improved management reporting. Working closely with the Finance Manager, you will take responsibility for key accounting activities throughout the financial year and play an important role in preparing annual audits and statutory reporting.
This role offers the chance to get involved in wider project work, system enhancements, and process optimisation, giving excellent exposure across the finance function.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality accounting support and reliable reporting
- Take ownership of selected month end and year end processes
- Improve control environments and suggest process improvements
- Produce quarterly management accounts for multiple entities
- Prepare year-end trial balances and financial statements
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts and manage key ledgers
- Prepare UK VAT returns and associated journals
- Support external audit processes with required financial data
- Produce regular internal reporting and analysis for stakeholders
- Prepare monthly journals and assist with shared cost allocations
- Co-authorise payments in line with internal policies
Skills and Experience Needed
- Newly qualified, qualified or part-qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA
- Strong experience in similar accounting or financial reporting roles
- Excellent technical accounting capability
- Confident communicator with strong stakeholder skills
- Proactive, ambitious and solutions-focused
- Strong analytical ability and high attention to detail
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with accounting systems
- Collaborative team player with a positive approach
