Job Description

  • £12.31 per hour
  • Monday to Friday (8.30am – 4.30pm)
  • 37.5 hours per week
  • Temporary role (up to 3 months)
  • Location: Antrim Area Hospital
  • Public sector

What you\’ll be doing in this role:

  • Retrieval and preparation of patient notes for outpatient clinics.
  • Filing of test results and general correspondence within patient notes.
  • Tracking notes and arranging for return to file or onward destination.
  • Answering telephone queries, ensuring that messages are recorded correctly and passed on to the appropriate person.
  • Adhering to departmental booking procedures.
  • Booking and cancelling appointments on hospital information system.
  • Printing and posting patient appointment letters and information sheets.
  • Answering telephone booking queries, including the allocation of suitable appointments for diagnostic tests on multiple hospital sites.

What you\’ll need for this role:

  • 4 GCSEs at grade C or above, including English Language, or an equivalent qualification, AND 1 year of admin experience including the use of computerised systems.
  • OR 3 years of clerical experience in an office environment including the use of computerised systems.
  • Hold a current full driving licence valid for use in the UK and have access to a car on appointment.
  • Appointment will be subject to a successful pre-employment health assessment.
