Schools Coordinator – NSPCC
We are recruiting one full‑time Schools Coordinator in the London & South East region. The role is North London based, coordinating the boroughs of Barnet, Enfield, Hackney and Haringey.
Position details: 1.0 FTE, 35 hours per week, permanent. Home based with frequent travel required. Candidates must live within the advertised areas, have access to a car for work travel and broadband.
About the Role & the Schools Service
Would you like to drive forward NSPCC’s schools offer? In 2021, NSPCC announced a new 10+ year strategy to make the biggest impact we can to stop child abuse and neglect. Our Local Services teams are an essential part of how NSPCC’s three main strategic goals will be delivered, and the Schools Service team plays an integral part by delivering the wider schools offer.

- Experience delivering or arranging programmes in an educational or safeguarding setting.

- Experience in managing, retaining and recruiting volunteers.

Responsibilities
- Act as the single point of contact for primary and secondary schools within the designated local educational authority areas, including non‑mainstream settings.
- Set targets, KPIs and reach plans in agreement with the line manager.
- Ensure a minimum number of schools are booked to deliver the Speak Out. Stay Safe programme.
- Oversee booking and delivery of NSPCC volunteer‑led workshops (to 6‑7‑ and 9‑11‑year‑olds).
- Actively engage with and approach secondary schools using the new Talk Relationships service and wider offer.
- Lead, supervise and support a team of high‑calibre schools service volunteers.
- Carry out quality assurance visits through direct observation of volunteer deliveries and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure training and sign‑off plans are in place for new volunteers, including co‑delivery with a Schools Coordinator where required.
- Provide effective individual and group volunteer supervisions.
- Plan and implement volunteer recruitment/attraction strategies.
- Build and maintain internal and external relationships, attend events and steward the offer with stakeholders.
- Follow NSPCC Schools Service safeguarding procedures to required standards.
- Collaborate with internal colleagues across the organisation in the region.
- Contribute actively to priority projects.
- Commit to continued professional development and practice sharing.
