We are currently seeking to recruit a new Apprenticeship Programme Manager for our Mazda Apprenticeship Programme based in Stewartby Bedfordshire.
The Apprentice Programme Manager will work directly with the Head of Apprenticeships to lead, develop and motivate the apprenticeship team at Mazda, ensuring objectives and required outcomes are clear and monitored using the Calex UK’s learner management system.
Key Responsibilities
You will monitor and improve delivery and where required implement new apprenticeship standards all with clear alignment to Mazda career development pathways. Working with the current team and wider operational support you will manage course planning, update curriculum, manage administration, monitor hotel contracts and general planning for the programme to ensure that it delivers high quality and impactful learning and supports the network with their requirements.
You will have responsibilities to assist with the management of the training facility, ensuring all Health & Safety and building compliance and regulations are all up to date within the apprenticeship operations. Work closely with the client to ensure all delivery remains high quality, brand aligned, safe and compliant with national apprenticeship funding rules and Ofsted requirements.

The successful candidate should have experience in a similar role and preferably a background in automotive technical areas. You will use your knowledge and skills to help coach and develop the delivery team to meet targets to get apprentices through their programme and final EPA assessments successfully and timely. You will be conscientious and be able to use reporting tools to drive performance and highlight issues arising.
An understanding of Government funded training would be beneficial.

Salary & Benefits: Up to £40,500 dependant on experience. Contract: Permanent / Full Time
Working Hours: Monday to Friday / 40 hours per week
Place of Work: The role will predominately be based at the Mazda Academy in Stewartby along with work requirements across the Mazda dealer network and wider Calex provision with the need to attend regular programme meetings, curriculum development, quality meetings and client update meetings.
Pre-employment Checks: Calex will undertake the relevant/standard employment checks with any successful candidate. This includes contacting all nominated referees, as well as checking candidate ID, driving licence (if appropriate) and right to work in the UK. Some roles may also be subject to further pre-employment checks (confirmation will be provided through the recruitment process). The nature of this role may necessitate that we undertake a DBS check.
