Purpose: The Manager, Oncology Competitive Intelligence (CI) will lead the collection, analysis and synthesis of competitive insights to inform strategic decision-making. The role will focus on delivering actionable intelligence on key current and emerging competitors and the treatment landscape.
The CI Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with commercial, medical and strategic analytics and insights teams to ensure that competitive insights shape/ inform business strategies and go-to-market plans.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and implement comprehensive competitive intelligence plans (including alerts, timelines, and competitive simulations) designed to communicate the impact of competitive and environmental insights on brand and franchise strategies and plans
- Be accountable for conducting research and competitive intelligence activities in a compliant manner
- Integrate competitive intelligence and primary research insights with analytical insights developed by peers across the Strategic Insights and Analytics (SIA) team (forecasting, market research and integrated analytics) for the Oncology portfolio and translate these into business impact
- Support brand planning processes by integrating competitive insights into forecasting cycles and strategic plannings
- Plan and execute competitive intelligence gathering at major oncology conferences
- Stay abreast of emerging healthcare & pharmaceutical industry trends and assess their potential impact on our business strategies
Qualifications / Requirements:
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) required, advanced degree desirable.
Experience and Skills:
Required:
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant business experience in competitive intelligence, market research, marketing, sales, business analytics, strategic planning, or management consulting. Note, prior competitive intelligence experience is preferred
- Business/market experience and industry knowledge to influence franchise/brand level decisions and strategies are required
- Act with speed, agility and accountability
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and translate insights into strategic recommendations
- Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex insights to diverse audiences
- Ability to provide objective, date-driven recommendations that align with business goals
- Proven ability to influence and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Take personal accountability for making Credo-based decisions and fostering a Credo-based culture
Preferred:
- Diversity of experience is preferred, with demonstrated learning agility in order to be able to move across different types of markets such as primary care/retail or specialty markets.
- Oncology experience is preferred but not required
Other:
- Requires up to 20% travel, including some weekend travel
- This position is based in Horsham, PA, requiring a minimum of 3 days per week in the office
