This is a fantastic opportunity to get involved in high-profile projects around system implementations, acquisitions, and process improvements.

As a Management Accountant, you will:

  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss, balance sheet, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyse financial performance against budget and forecast; provide variance analysis with insightful commentary.
  • Collaborate with department heads to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost control initiatives.
  • Produce KPI reports and dashboards for operational and financial metrics.
  • Support the Finance Director in financial planning and strategic analysis.
  • Reconcile key balance sheet accounts monthly.
  • Maintain and improve financial systems and processes for accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in preparing year-end accounts and liaising with auditors.
  • Ensure compliance with tax laws, regulations, and accounting standards.
  • Drive process improvements, particularly in cost allocation and job profitability reporting.

Candidate requirements:

  • Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA, or equivalent).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a similar management accounting role.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with accounting software (e.g., Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills to explain financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
  • Self-motivated, well-organised, and able to meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience in transport, logistics, or vehicle recovery industry (preferred but not essential).
