Vision for Education is recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and popular secondary school in Prestwich for a Teacher of Textiles and DT. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a school that is consistently rated as ‘Good’ by Ofsted. The successful candidate will be required from January 2025 through to the end of the academic year in July 2025. Key Responsibilities Deliver engaging and effective lessons in KS3 and GCSE Textiles and DT, inspiring students to develop confidence and competence in Textiles and DT. Plan, assess, and deliver the curriculum with a commitment to excellence in teaching and learning. Utilize creative and varied teaching approaches to support a range of learning styles, ensuring lessons are inclusive and challenging for all. Collaborate with the Textiles and DT department and broader school community to contribute to a positive, cohesive learning environment. Person Specification We are seeking a passionate and motivated Maths teacher who: Holds QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or an equivalent teaching qualification. Has recent experience teaching KS3 and GCSE Textiles and DT, with a strong track record of delivering high-quality lessons. Is committed to inspiring and engaging students, helping them achieve their full potential. Thrives in a collaborative environment and can build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents. Is adaptable, resilient, and ready to engage with the dynamic demands of a vibrant school setting.
