The Friendly Almshouses charity in South London is looking to appoint a new voluntary treasurer to the board of trustees.
The voluntary treasurer ensures that effective and appropriate financial measures, controls, and procedures are in place. They are responsible for overseeing the preparation of annual accounts and budget forecasts, as well as serving as a key decision-maker on financial matters by offering financial insights and guidance around risks, opportunities, and our long-term financial needs.
We are looking for someone with:
- A strong background in finance, accounting, or bookkeeping (formal qualifications are ideal but not necessary).
- A collaborative leadership style, with the ability to effectively engage board members and other stakeholders.
