The predicted salary is between 40000 - 60000 £ per year.

Salary: Up to £51480 per annum broken down as £22 p/h based on a 45 hour week plus and extra £0.50p/h if you have a HGV Licence (can provide training)

Hours: 45 hours per week rotating morning and afternoon shift

Your role is pivotal, ensuring that we can continue to deliver our service across the UK. What will you be doing?

  • Oversee and assist the Technician team within the workshop
  • Carrying out weekly/monthly R&A (Ava) inspections
  • Ensure that the workshop is kept clean and tidy and all times
  • Assist in the allocation of daily work and prioritisation and completion of the daily jobs and VOR list at the end of the day
  • Ensure that the \’Daily Work Diary\’ is constantly and immediately kept up-to-date and is current – Workshop Control
  • Monitor the new oil levels and ensure orders are placed on time
  • Monitor the waste oil levels weekly and organise collections
  • Manage the workshop\’s daily workload
  • Labour & Parts (when in use) input
  • Assist with weekly Team Safe, near miss reports, off-job cards and inspection reports
  • Assist with the procurement/sourcing of Parts
  • Other general work as required by the Workshop Management Team
  • Carry out HGV MOT inspections and preparations. (IRTEC Licence preferred however we can provide training)
  • Complete roadside repairs when necessary (Training to be provided)

What we\’re looking for;

  • Previous experience as a Mechanical Fitter/HGV Technician ideally with an NVQ Level 3 Vehicle Qualification, would also consider a technician in a similar trade such as automotive or plant.
  • Awareness and understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Hold a HGV driving licence (Preferred but not essential).
  • Supply your own comprehensive tool kit. (diagnostic equipment and specialised tools provided by Veolia)
  • If you are a skilled Technician we\’d still love to hear from you. We can provide upskilling and develop you further once you\’ve started with us.
