At Steris IP we are the trusted experts in surgical instrument sterilisation. We offer on and offsite re-processing, alongside reliable instrument maintenance solutions. We are currently recruiting for a Driver vacancy. This is an excellent opportunity to join the business at entry level and receive world class training. You must hold a full and up to date license.

Working Hours: rotating shifts

Week 1: 6am-2pm
Week 2: 11am-7pm
Every other Saturday: 6am – 3pm
On-call service.

What is involved

  • Ensuring vehicles are driven in line with all current applicable legislation, company policies and procedures.
  • Daily Health and Safety vehicle inspections
  • Report all traffic accidents involving any company vehicle to the company insurer immediately in accordance with their requirements in addition to notifying line manager.
  • Responsibility for the safe carriage of goods to comply with the basic rules of the Transport Act 1968.
  • Maintain and organise planned preventative maintenance i.e. servicing of all company vehicles and organise alternative vehicle cover when necessary.
  • Maintain effective vehicle mileage logs and submit the mileage records to the Administration Staff on a weekly basis.
  • Shall ensure all delivery schedules are met in accordance with the daily requirements of the service.

Required Experience

  • Educated on good general standard with demonstrable verbal and numerical abilities.
  • Full UK driving license (max 3 points)
  • 2 years driving experience on UK roads
