INVISTA is seeking a highly motivated Facilities Manager to join our Gloucester team. In this role, you will focus on enhancing and managing essential facilities that support a leading manufacturing operation. You will play a crucial role in maintaining a world-class operation and site by overseeing field activities and leading infrastructure development projects.

What You Will Do

As part of the Gloucester Operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the continued safe operation and optimization of equipment and facilities supporting the manufacture of Nylon-6,6 fiber for the industrial fibers markets. This opportunity offers long-term job satisfaction and progression within a growing business with ambitious targets. The manufacturing facility operates continuously 24/7, 365 days a year, and this is a day-based role.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Manage building infrastructure, equipment, and building provisions to meet health and safety requirements.
  2. Identify, scope, and project manage building installations and refurbishments.
  3. Supervise and communicate with facilities staff, external contractors, and vendors.
  4. Ensure all facilities are up to code and that maintenance protocols are followed.
  5. Provide Duty Manager coverage on a rota to support the facility\’s continued operation out of hours.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Technical qualifications in a discipline supporting Facilities Leadership, with a desire to advance professionally and academically.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with effective communication within a team environment.

• Demonstrated initiative, ability to manage work autonomously, and adapt to changing priorities.

• Strong commitment to compliance, safety, and environmental standards, with experience of SSOW.

• Eagerness to learn and develop knowledge and skills continuously.
